What?
Instacart is an American company that operates a grocery delivery and pick-up service in the United States and Canada. The company offers its services via a website and mobile app. The service allows customers to order groceries from participating retailers with the shopping being done by a personal shopper.
Goal
To ensure customers get their groceries delivered reliably, to lift up our retail partners, and to provide flexible earnings opportunities for shoppers. Today, the role we play and the responsibility we have takes on an entirely new meaning. I want to take a few moments to share how we’re prioritizing the health and safety of the Instacart shopper community.

As a fellow Youtuber and vlogger, I get a lot of my inspiration from Youtube. I love to see other people's lives from their point of view, especially when it comes to showing their "day in the life as....". It's so inspiring to me that they have the time to do their job and also vlog about it and upload it to their channel according to their schedules. Also, the fact they always look genuinely content in their life and incorporate a loving career into it is really the level of aspiration I want to have in my future.

Christine, known as Chunbuns on social media, is a full-time Product Designer and Content Creator at Instacart. She is also a Youtuber and influencer on Instagram. She posts several vlogs on her YouTube Channel, giving clear insights on what it’s like working in San Francisco and at her job, Instacart. The vlog that I watch “A day in the life as a UX designer” was very catchy and it gave a good feel of what her tasks were as a UX designer there. First, it was so relieving to see the environment in which she worked. It seems like a healthy and supporting group of employees work there with her and that is very important to me as a person. The morale of the group and overall working with a brand that is friendly and hard-working is very motivational for me. Secondly, her tasks are exactly what I really enjoy doing in Graphic Design Major 1.3 now, creating an interface that provides a service for the good of people. From the beginning of this term, after reading the requirements of the Major project, I knew immediately knew I wanted to do a mobile application because it’s something I’ve wanted to try for a while, but I didn’t know where to start so the feedback and guidance to the tutors was very beneficial for me taking the initiative of making an app. I was very nervous in the beginning but then with the help of tutorials and my peers, I quickly understood the concept of UX and UI designing. I never used Adobe XD before, but I was so excited to jump into and it was somewhat very beneficial to figure out the whole program on my own. I got the hang of it very quickly and I was just so proud of myself for understanding the program so quickly and experimenting with it as much as possible. Finally, this concludes my choice of wanting to pursue UX and UI designing in the future as a career because I’ve always been passionate about creating and designing tools to help innovate, track and observe customer engagement, and use it to offer custom recommendations and updates to the users. I also want to comment on the other inspiration I got from Christine’s profession at Instacart, and that’s the CEO of Instacart and founder Apoorva Mehta. It’s also been a big dream of mine to create a start-up company with close employees after working for a while because a I believe it will always challenge me and I can bring innovative ideas to the table. To become an entrepreneur and start a creative design business from scratch. It’s so inspirational to see young people go after their dreams no matter how many times they fall. Mehta worked at Amazon for two years, but he felt as it wasn’t challenging him anymore and therefore, he decided to leave and find something more exciting. He took that experience from Amazon to start something new but he stated that he had 20 failed start-ups in order to finally succeed and create Instacart, a 35-billion-dollar company.
Why is this my choice as a future career?
